Set a Lush and Vibrant Thanksgiving Table

Set a lush and vibrant table with greenery and gourds for your Thanksgiving table this year.

Set a lush and vibrant Thanksgiving table

With Thanksgiving just over a week and a half away, I thought it was the perfect time to finally get around to sharing last year’s Thanksgiving tablescape. I’ve shared a couple of Fall tables over the last year, like this Festive Fall tablescape, and this Simple Fall table, but failed to get my actual Thanksgiving table on the blog, until now!

It’s just in time until this year rolls around — I have a new table planned out and I can’t wait to put all the details together.

Create a lush and vibrant centerpiece for your thanksgiving table

There is something so fresh about greenery and I’m trying to incorporate them more into my parties and tables. They are, for the most part, an inexpensive touch that can go a long way.

Use greenery and gourds to set a lush and vibrant Thanksgiving Table

To create this centerpiece, I picked up some lush and vibrant greenery from a local Minnesota florist, Bachmans. They always have an excellent selection of greenery, floral, and the cutest home decor.

This look is very simple to create. First, lay out your greenery down the center of the table and then add in some colorful gourds.

These mercury votives and the pinecone taper candle holders, both from Bachmans, created amazing ambient light when we actually lit them. I so wish I would have snapped a picture, but being that these photos were snapped right before we served our Thanksgiving meal, I simply forgot.

If you aren’t local to Minneapolis and unable to see the great selection at Bachman’s, you can grab this set of mercury votives from Amazon.

As these pinecone candle holders are from last year and not available on Bachman’s website, I tried to find a matching alternative but I was coming up short. However, I love these unique star candle holders, and they would work right through the Christmas holiday. You could also go more traditional with pretty gold candlesticks.

Neutral Thanksgiving table place settings allow the centerpiece to pop

For the place settings, I started with some IKEA rattan placemats and my everyday Crate & Barrel dishes. I’m using some beige napkins from Target that I picked up years ago, and reused the napkin rings from my festive fall tablescape that I made with, wait for it, toilet paper rolls and some faux leaves. Seriously, use what you have!

These dollar store water glasses round up the look. I love finding discount decor that pairs so nicely with my overall theme.

I hope you are inspired to create your own lush and vibrant Thanksgiving table. It really is easier than you think. The pops of color are so pleasing to the eye, and the best part is the minimal expense needed to create this look.
